Mimaki Bompan Textile S.r.l. was founded in 2017, as a joint venture between Japanese technology company Mimaki and Italian distributor Bompan S.r.l. Mimaki and Bompan have a long-term trusted business relationship together. The joint venture caps two decades of collaboration in delivering industry-leading digital solutions in several markets, including the textile market.
Mimaki Engineering was founded in Japan in 1975. Mimaki has grown by reputation and influence into a global technology company, currently operating large manufacturing bases in Asia and the Pacific, the United States and Europe. Bompan S.r.l. is a leading distributor in Italy, founded in 1996, with a longstanding experience in the textile industry as exclusive distributor of Mimaki.
Since the establishment of Mimaki Europe in 2004, the partnership between the two companies became even closer, now resulting in a joint venture as total solution provider for the textile market. Mimaki Europe retains a 51% ownership of the joint venture, and the majority of directors, including the CEO, Hirokazu Hayashi. Bompan founder Massimo Bompan is serving as Chairman. The company’s headquarter is based in Tradate, Italy, servicing the worldwide textile industry.
